ONION AND MANGO CONFIT (Confit d'oignon à la mangue)
Sweet, savoury, fruity
Onion and mango are perfectly blended to create this confit with very slightly spicy sweet & savoury flavours. The mangoes, onions and spices are all selected and prepared by hand to bring you this high-quality confit.
Recommended use:
The onion and mango confit is perfect for poultry, vegetables, salad dressings and sauces.
Recipe idea: Duck magret with onions and mango confit
For 4 people: 2 duck breasts, 20cl fresh cream, 1 jar of TOCO mango and orange confit. Score the skin of the duck breasts. Heat a frying pan and place the duck breasts skin-side down. Cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and discard the duck fat. Reheat the pan and place the other side of the duck breasts, cooking for 3 minutes, then remove them. Off the heat, pour the whole jar of TOCO onion and mango confit into the pan. Mix thoroughly with the cooking juices, add fresh cream. Reduce to a low heat while you cut the breasts into slices. Arrange on plates and cover with sauce. This dish goes very well with wheat.
